Subject of the review:
The review examined whether the pressure-mediated Continuum model reproduces the same inverse-square gravitational behavior predicted by Newton's law of universal gravitation while providing a different physical explanation of the mechanism responsible for gravitational motion.
Rather than treating gravity as an attractive force acting at a distance, the Continuum model interprets gravitational acceleration as the result of pressure gradients within a continuous medium. The review evaluated whether this alternative interpretation remained mathematically consistent with classical continuum mechanics and Newtonian mechanics.
Outcome:
The review concluded that the model is internally consistent within its stated assumptions and successfully reproduces Newtonian gravitational behavior under the conditions described, while clearly identifying the theoretical questions that remain open for future development.
